Norman attends Out of the Cold every night to save money on food. This is his second year with The Art Circle and this time is learning to paint. He is appreciative because it provides him with a wide space to spread out, experiment and be creative.

“Art uplifts my soul. It’s a joy beyond money. No money can compare or replace the feeling. No supervisor. I can be myself. It gives me peace. Makes me feel like I’m worth something.”

“Without art what kind of world would it be?”

Bosco has attended Out of the Cold for four years. It makes his Tuesdays different because he is able to get out of his apartment, be with others and share a healthy meal. He looks forward to attending each week and finds deep meaning in the acceptance and openness of the volunteers.

It is his second year with The Art Circle, and he is thrilled to be back. In last year’s art show he was able to learn what people liked about his brush technique. This has helped him develop his artistic skills and to sharpen his talent.
